Stephen Wilkins is a Marketing Consultant and senior partner of Stephen Wilkins Associates. For more than 20 years he has run his own firm specialising in industrial marketing communications. He is a Masters graduate in Business Administration of the University of Durham, a Member of the Institute of Packaging in the United Kingdom and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
He was appointed Secretary of the Child-Safe Packaging Group (CSPG) on its formation in 1995. In this role he has not only driven the group's activities but also represented it on relevant committees, seminars and forums, but has presented papers on packaging throughout the UK, other EU countries and USA.
The CSPG, since its formation, has been largely responsible for a complete change of attitude in the UK pharmaceutical industry to child resistant packaging. This culminated in the publication of BS 8404 and its incorporation into the Medicines (Child Safety) Regulations 2003, a UK Statutory Instrument
As well as packaging his research interests include above the line marketing communications about which he has also presented papers.
Clive Badman took up the position of Vice President, Investigational Material Supply , in R&D, in May 2010. He is responsible for the supply chain for clinical trials worldwide and the scale up and transfers of products into manufacturing.
Clive joined Beecham Pharmaceuticals in 1978 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in Development and Production both at site and in central functions.
Clive has a BSc and PhD in Chemistry from Dundee University and is a Visiting Professor at Strathclyde University and Chairman of CMAC (Continuous Manufacturing and Crystallisation). He was awarded an OBE in 2012.
I’ve been leading teams of up to 100 individuals for over 10 years in terms of budget, resources, performance and audit posture. I’ve been with Baxalta (ex Baxter BioScience, now part of Shire) for over six years and worked at IBM for ten years before that.
Since 2010, I’ve been involved in LEAN initiatives focusing on KPI definition, value stream mapping and process improvement. Deviation management and Six Sigma trending are also areas of interest which have led to a number of guest speaking events at pharmaceutical and logistics conferences.
Participated in, as well as led, several GMP and site audits with U.S., European and International inspectors. Since 2013, I’ve been focusing on Cold Chain Logistics and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) guidelines.
I’m deeply interested in people management and leadership development. During my tenure at IBM in Slovakia, I was responsible for setting up a program called "Management Development for Emerging Leaders in Developing Countries". Since 2014, I’ve been guest speaker at the University of Applied Science in Vienna on the subject of leadership styles and techniques.
